Thayer is great! She moves quickly and sometimes a little faster than my brain so I have to correct an answer of mine. What I miss though is having a complete physical that includes all female related care, breast exam, skin check, pap and the ability to manage my IUD. That has nothing to do with Thayer though.

Waited almost 9 months for a new patient visit. In the meantime all illnesses were handed by their virtual team via zoom, or urgent care. The first visit was extremely disappointing. We choose this doctor based on experiencing multiple overlapping health issues that she seemed to be qualified to handle. We weren’t heard. I had to use my social worker experience and advocate for my family member who clearly communicated the health issues. Doc wanted to immediately label with fibromyalgia and not do any lab work, X-rays. We Insisted certain labs be ordered and to not give a dx until the root cause was identified. However in the aftercare summary she listed fibromyalgia as the reason being referred to a rheumatologist. Doc replied “You are young and healthy so I expect all of your labs to be normal”. We had to ask for a nutritionist referral, and another referral. She agreed but we never received these referrals. Overall she comes across as uncaring, unsupportive. The second visit she said all of the labs were normal. They weren’t. We had to bring it to her attention 5 of the labs were low and out of range, and another identified another issue. A good doctor is one who listens, cares, and lets you be informed and involved in your healing process. This doc doesn’t care. We have fired this doc, the rheumatologist (not needed) and found an amazing doctor outside of HHC. New doctor made a simple change in medication, referred to nutritionist, and physical therapy. Health is getting better with new doctor.
